During business visit to the Turkish Republic in March, 2019, JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” has signed Frame Agreements with the Middle East Technical University (METU) and Industrial Chamber of Ankara (ASO). These Agreements shall expand CNIITMASH activities in Turkey and provide new sectors of cooperation.
The main result of the visit was the decision to create together with METU common programs for training and certification of Turkish specialists for the Non-destructive testing with consideration of Russian Regulations in the Nuclear Power field. Commercial activities the Parties are planning to start in June of 2019. Also the Agreement is mentioning possibilities of examinations in the METU Lab Facilities to be performed by CNIITMASH specialists in the Turkish territory, that will considerably speed up the procedures eliminating necessity of transportation of samples to Russia.
Another valuable agreement signed during the visit is the frame with ASO regarding similar training programs, but more industrially oriented. This project can be implemented on the base of facilities of industrial cluster of Ankara. Also common activities for arranging of participation of Turkish companies in localization of supplies to Akkuyu project is foreseeing with confirmation of their correspondence to the demands and requirements of Russian Standards and Rules. Training programs can be started by the end of the year, while arrangement and qualification activities are already started and will continue from now on.

This is only second visit of CNIITMASH to Turkey in the scope of this project. First visit was held in January with arrangement for participation in the seminar of ASO for potential subcontractors of Akkuyu project as well as discussion of directions of the cooperation. And the beginning of partnership was established during visit to CNIITMASH of the Turkish delegation in a frame of X International Forum of Nuclear Industry Suppliers “ATOMEX 2018” in December of 2018.
