CNIITMASH Took Part in Business Mission in Armenia

JSC Atomenergomash and JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” (a company being a part of Atomenergomash, a machine-building division of Rosatom) had a meeting with Ayk Arutunyan Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia and representatives of the largest Armenian energy companies. The sides discussed possible areas of cooperation and perspectives of collaboration in the energy sector. The event was held as a part of a business mission organized by the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation

For Armenian part the meeting was attended by High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC, Armenian Nuclear Power Plant CJSC, Yerevan Thermal Power Plant CJSC, Scientific Research Institute of Energy CJSC, Gazprom Armenia CJSC and Electro Power Systems Operator CJSC.

Ksenia Sukhotina, First Deputy Director General for Strategy and Organizational Development of Atomenergomash JSC, told the audience about the key business areas of the machine-building division of SC Rosatom – Atomenergomash JSC, such as nuclear power, heat and power, petrochemical industry, metallurgy and shipbuilding engineering. Developments in the field of small-scale power generation and alternative energy were outlined as one of the fastest growing strands.

Viktor Orlov, General Director of JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” made a detailed presentation of the company’s scientific potential and capabilities for development and manufacturing of various equipment, such as technological high-vacuum equipment, equipment and consumables for welding, equip-ment for nondestructive testing, electro-thermal equipment, as well as equipment for additive produc-tion (3-D printers). Armenian partners were introduced to possible forms of establishing bilateral co-operation – starting from supply of Russian-built ready-made equipment in accordance with the customer’s individual requirements up to the technical audit of Armenian enterprises, setting up of integrated laboratories and localization of production in the customer's territory.

Konstantin Kosyrev Deputy General Director Science of JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” spoke about promising trends in the field of scientific and technical cooperation. He shared the company experience in fabrication of materials, development of technologies and equipment for manufacturing of materials and products, engineering services, personnel training services, scientific and technical services, expertise of technical condition and diagnostics of equipment and products, including possibilities to extend their working life.

The Armenian side showed interest in several areas. The representatives of High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC discussed the possibility of the equipment technical audit. Colleagues from ZAO Gazprom Armenia were interested in the industrial equipment of Russian make, such as shut-off valves for gas facilities and oil towers. The participants discussed complete deliveries of competitive low-capacity hydro-power plants and wind turbines. The likelihood of concluding passports of foreign projects is high.

At the conclusion of the meeting the priority cooperation areas were identified and it was noted that the scope of application of JSC Atomenergomash and JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” technologies and services goes beyond the sphere of energy. The equipment for additive production developed at JSC “RPA “CNIITMASH” can be used, for instance, in the medical industry for manufacture of pros-theses and tools. The second visit of the Russian company business mission to the Republic of Armenia will be devoted to discussions of these aspects and study of industrial cooperation possible directions for localization of production for the purpose of further export of products to the markets of third countries.
