CEFC was arranged by Heavy Engineering Corporation Ltd., a state-owned machinery facility, under the auspices of the Department of Heavy Industry of the Republic of India for the purpose of improvement and extension of the basis of Indian engineers in the field of heavy and power machine building, including the aspects of nuclear machine building.
The corresponding lecture courses were prepared by the State Research Center of Russia JSC RPA CNIITMASH, a 90-year-old world famous Center of Machinery Technologies, which had contributed tremendously to the development of the Russian metallurgy, energy, defense, space and especially nuclear sectors, including creation of the world’s first nuclear power plant in the year of 1954 in Obninsk, Russia. Since then till the present times CNIITMASH has been the leading Technological and Material Science Institution for the nuclear sector of Russia.
CNIITMASH is a member of RosAtom Corporation and AtomEnergoMash Group.
Some of the courses were already delivered; others are to be delivered in 2019.
We would like to open a discussion in order to improve cooperation and performance of CEFC. Mr. Vladislav Lurye has kindly agreed to share some of his considerations after his course “Steelmaking and Secondary Refinery”, which took place from 4 till 12 of October.
Now let us discuss certain aspects of CEFC goals and performance:
CEFC needs to give to the attendees the solid basis of applicable principles and technologies, which can be successfully used in Heavy and Energy Machinery, considering contemporary requirements to properties and qualities which highly increased in the recent years.
Few of these basic ideas can be implemented directly; some will require significant changes in approach and organization of production, other demand further development into operational practice with consideration of market requests and production capabilities.
As we found, Indian metallurgical engineers prefer to have more interactive lectures discussions, while Russian School is more academically organized and performed. Following the request of CEFC management we have added more presentation materials and videos, and I hope it will help in understanding the Courses.
However, please remember - we are not making performances, we do not want to be loved by everybody, we want just to be sure that principle things have been correctly understood and acknowledged by our attendees.
